hey um is it my first period & ive had it 5-4 days, & its i wouldnt say gross its a part of life, but i have things to do this weekend, & i could help by not having it, so i was just wondering how long is it suppose to last & is the blood suppose to be browney/black?

Periods usually last anywhere from 4-7 days, so you'll probably be done or almost done by the weekend. The brown color is perfectly normal, first periods almost always look more like brown discharge, be prepared though that they will start to look bloodier! It freaked me out the first time I had a bright red period, because I was so used to the brown ones lol.

Browny-black is the sign of a first menstrual period because the lining of the uterus is shedding for the first time. A period can last up to 7 days, it usually depends on how long the women of your family has their periods for. You do not have to stop activities because you are on your period! If you have things to do, you can still do them while on your period. Even swimming; tampons are a great invention!!
Oh, yeah, you cannot just stop your period when it is convenient for you, you just have to learn to do the things you normally do 'with' it.

the period cycle is between 2-7 days and the colour of the blood is red/brown it should never be black if it is black go and see a doctors you could have infection

Mine last like 4 days but i know some people whose last for like a whole week.
anyway sounds like it's ending. when it turns darker it's like the end. just wear the panty liners youll be fine
