Ear pain when I open my mouth

Answer:could it be jaw pain instead, clenching teeth at night?......
I woke up this morning with weird ear pain. Whenever I open my jaw, my right ear hurts a bit. It isn't a debilitating pain, but it kind of feels like swimmers ear. I can hear my ear popping and rubbing sounds when I move my jaw as well. My mom says it might be wisdom teeth, but I want to be sure it isn't an ear infection for some reason (I have not been swimming lately)

Answer:
The majority of ear hassles relate to wax build up.

You mention popping and rubbing sounds, which tends to bear this out. Just check with your quack and get them syringed.

Answer:
If you have an allergy or a cold you could have nasal drainage and your ear is now congested. You could try taking some decongestant to dry up the Flem. When you sleep keep your head propped up higher using an extra pillow.
