Telling the crisis team I hear voices

I have had help from the crisis team since last October but never told them I have heard voices. Today was really bad, voices in my head told me to buy a kitchen knife and stab someone to death, I didn't I just threatened my boyfriend with it and then the voices told me I had to kill myself for not doing as I was told. I could feel the suicidal thoughts build up in my chest so I went to A&E after self harming. If I tell the crisis team this will they still let me go home? What will they do? I'm scared. Thanks x

Tell them. They are there to help you! If you are hearing voices they may have to make an adjustment to your medication or change their counseling approach to help make it stop. They want to help you and they dont want you to have to hear those things. I understand it must be hard to admit, no one wants to sound "crazy..." but you shouldnt have to face that alone. And if you truly dont feel safe from harming others they can provide safety!
